How would we build the world today? The Panama-Pacific Exposition answers: "Build it, operate it, and light it with electricity." For in this great little world on the Coast, Science has accomplished the utmost. Every line of man's activities is represented by the best of its kind, and over all is the halo of the greatest spectacular effects the world has ever known.

Electricity is everywhere present - sometimes working with evident and potent force, but more frequently showing itself only in its marvelous accomplishments.

It is doubtful, therefore, whether the full extent to which electricity contributed to this mammoth Exposition will be realized by the very throngs that enthuse over its effects.

A glance behind the scenes, in these pages, will illustrate the principal applications of electricity in construction, operation, illumination and exhibition at the world's greatest fair.
